Le Tour de France Route Planner

When it was announced in December 2012 that Yorkshire would be hosting the 2014 Le Tour de France much attention was paid to the route that the prestigious 110 year old  race would take.

Yorkshire is well known for being a cycling haven with tens of thousands taking part in major cycling events and festivals held in the county each year. The route has been designed so that it passes within a mile of 98% of Yorkshire towns. Building on the outstanding British cycling success in 2012’s Olympic games, the vast majority of Yorkshire residents will be within a mile of their cycling heroes such as Bradley Wiggins, Ben Swift and Mark Cavendish.
